Our Story
At El Cimarrón Cuban Restaurant, every dish tells a story. We celebrate the rich heritage of the Cuban cimarrones—brave men and women who fought for their freedom while preserving the traditions, flavors, and spirit that continue to define authentic Cuban culture today.
In Cuba, the cimarrones were enslaved people who escaped the colonial plantations in search of freedom in the mountains and forests. There, they built hidden communities known as palenques, where they protected their African traditions, culture, music, faith, and way of life…

Fantastic Cuban food at a very reasonable price. I went between lunch and dinner, was able to place a to-go order immediately. Go to the right side of the restaurant just before the bar to order. Choose from several types of rice, meats, and beans/plantains/etc. Yellow rice with brisket is perfect for a teenage boy. Service was wonderful. Very delighted to find this place.
